"My Karoobi"[1] is a song from The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3 episode "Super Koopa". The song first plays when Mario and Luigi lose their abilities and then use Fire Flowers to attack King Koopa with fireballs. The song then plays again during the battle against the Mario Bros. and King Koopa. "My Karoobi" is a mild parody of the song "My Sharona" by The Knack.
The instrumental was played in place of "Rawhide" in "Butch Mario & The Luigi Kid," "The Power of Love" in "Love 'Em and Leave 'Em," "Danger Zone" in "Brooklyn Bound," "Thriller" in "Count Koopula," "Secret Agent Man" in "On Her Majesty's Sewer Service," "La Bamba" in "The Mark of Zero," and the second instance of "White Wedding" in the Captain N episode "Mr. and Mrs. Mother Brain."
The lines in green are played during the episode, but are not heard on the bonus disc of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3: The Complete Series DVD. The lines in yellow are not played on the second disc due to a glitch.
Lyrics[edit]
- Part 1
It can stomp
It can stalk
It can do more than walk!
My Karoobi
My rootin' tootin' Ka-ra-roobi, yeah!
- Part 2
It can stomp
It can stalk
It can do more than walk!
My Karoobi!
It can dart
It can dash
It can move in a flash!
My Karoobi!
Hey, watch out 'cause here I come!
It can zip!
It can zap!
It can follow a map!
My rootin' tootin' Ka-ra-roobi, yeah!
I got a shoe with power to spare
My Karoobi takes me everywhere!
It's magical
It fits all sizes
In a pinch, it improvises!
Hey, look at me!
It can stomp
It can soar
It can do a-hundred-and-four
My Karoobi
It can rip!
It can race!
It can keep up the pace!
My rootin' tootin' Ka-ra-roobi, yeah!
Rootin' tootin' Ka-ra-roobi, yeah!
