Mason will get his rank back after the player ranks up to first in Junior Class, and then move up to second rank as soon as the player ranks into Senior Class. After being defeated in doubles, he claimed that [[Clay]]'s or [[Ace]]'s unorthodox style of playing is why his "phenom powers" did not kick in and win the ranking match for him. After Clay or Ace goes high enough in the standings, he starts referring to them as "phenoms" as well, possibly to live his dream through them. Mason is a character in Mario Tennis: Power Tour. He holds the third rank in the Junior Class at the Academy as well as a power-type player. He is arrogant and convinced that he is a "tennis phenom".
