WarioWare Gold
5-Volt reappears in Gold, now with her own set of microgames. Specifically, she hosts the fifth stage of the Mash League, while her theme is Nintendo Classics, just like her son and 18-Volt. Like the other characters, she has received a slight redesign to match the game's art style. She now wears a long-sleeved red hoodie under a yellow apron. Her eyes are now distinctly brown, and her bangs are thicker.

In her story, 5-Volt realizes 9-Volt will be home soon, so she decides to start making dinner. However, Mr. Sparkles appears on television and promotes his new bodybuilding techniques, with 5-Volt determined to try them out. Later on, 9-Volt comes home and accidentally drops his Nintendo 3DS behind a cupboard. However, using her newfound powers, 5-Volt lifts the cupboard, amazing her son.

5-Volt is also part of the Ultra League Story. She starts a cookout known as a potluck in Peridot Campgrounds along with her son, Dribble, Spitz, Ashley, Red, 18-Volt, Orbulon, Mike, and Fronk, who each present their microgames along with her own. Each guest brings their own food, which starts well until Orbulon brings radioactive carotene logs, Red brings explosive oysters, and Ashley brings a mandrake root, which Red claims can kill people with its scream, to which Spitz screams like a mandrake as a prank. To improve the situation, 5-Volt hosts a card game for everyone to play. Due to the card game being very successful, she decides to have another potluck tomorrow. She also decides to invite Wario to join the second potluck. In the game's ending cutscene, after Wario attempts to take the money that was supposed to be paid to his employees, 5-Volt asks for payment along with her fellow employees. She tells Wario not to fake his pain as she takes photos of him being grabbed by Young Cricket, assuring him that he will be fine. Since Wario spent a majority of their rate, 5-Volt and the others take what little remains in his suitcase and split it equally amongst themselves, with the player receiving the 10000 coins that they used to buy their admission into the Wario Bowl.

5-Volt also reprises her role in the mode Sneaky Gamer, a remake of the Gamer mode from Game & Wario.

5-Volt appears in WarioWare: Get It Together! In the game's story mode, she appears in the opening cutscene, serving food to the other WarioWare, Inc. employees. She, along with the rest of the employees, gets sucked in the game world due to Wario's actions.

5-Volt appears in the intro of 9-Volt's stage. After seeing 9-Volt go to bed, she comments on how adorable her son is before leaving the room, allowing 9-Volt and Fronk to show off his new "Epic Augmented Reality Game". Fronk's over-eagerness, however, causes 5-Volt to return, forcing the pair to hurry back to bed and pretend they are both asleep as she checks on them before leaving once more.

In the pre-stage cutscene of the Remix 2.0 stage, the gang finds a minecart, and as 9-Volt suspects that something is off with the minecart, he suggests that the gang proceed without the minecart. As he attempts to advance, he is suddenly scared by 5-Volt, who was hiding in the minecart. She immediately scolds her son for wandering away by himself, before admitting that getting upset makes her very tired, revealing her ability. Jimmy T asks what is going on with her, to which 9-Volt explains that, while she is unconscious, 5-Volt is capable of out-of-body experiences and uses that power to keep an eye on things. After the stage is cleared, 5-Volt joins the gang, believing the experience to be quite fun.

After beating Anything Goes, 5-Volt goes back to the real world alongside most of the other WarioWare, Inc. employees and chases after Wario after it is revealed their predicament was caused by his poor programming. However, they soon remember other people were left behind in the game world, and they immediately return to rescue them.

As a playable character, 5-Volt herself does not move, but switch moves a ghostly apparition of herself while she is in a state of deep sleep. Pressing switch makes her teleport to the position of her spirit, creating a shockwave around her destination. After teleporting, she drops downward until she reaches solid footing and falls asleep, allowing the player to use her teleportation ability again. 5-Volt cannot teleport in front of most solid objects, but can teleport through walls and solid objects. This ability makes her excel in many microgames that prioritize movement, including those that involve reaching a destination (e.g. Great Escape), escaping small areas (e.g. Garbage Day), or reaching safe areas (e.g. Bad Vegetables), all while evading obstacles that other characters would normally have to overcome. She also excels at time-based or choice-based games (e.g. Flee the Flashlight, Wanted). The shockwaves from her teleportation are also effective in forcing objects to move quickly (e.g. Stop the Stopper and Pit Stop). However, despite her ability to teleport long distances, microgames that prioritize precise or constant movement are not a good fit for her (e.g. Family Reunion and Hot Hoops, two microgames considered a bad fit). Also, despite the power of the shockwaves, the game is inconsistent with detecting the shockwaves and 5-Volt herself when dealing with small, loose objects (e.g. Ocean Hero and A Weighty Matter, two more bad-fit microgames). Owing to her fair share of pros and cons, 5-Volt has microgames evenly distributed to each suitability level (7 bad, 36 below-average, 60 average, 69 above-average, and 40 good).

WarioWare: Move It!
In WarioWare: Move It!, 5-Volt, along with the rest of the WarioWare cast, join Wario on his vacation to Caresaway Island. She appears in 9-Volt's stage, "Quest in the Dark", alongside 18-Volt and 13-Amp. 5-Volt is the first person of the group to be lured into Shopkeeper Polario's shop. 9-Volt eventually finds her, along with 18-Volt and 13-Amp, in the shop playing a Pyoro game.

5-Volt also hosts the second Remix stage, "Pool-Party Panic". After Kat & Ana accidentally get a ball lodged in Poolopus's mouth, 5-Volt joins the rest of the crew in trying to remove it, only to be flung into the air before landing on a moving tour bus.

5-Volt, along with the rest of the WarioWare cast appear in the final stage, "Lava at First Sight", where they all dance to defeat Volcano Wario. After Wario is launched from the volcano, the cast enjoys their vacation, while Wario is stuck inside a temple.

5-Volt appears in the minigame Dirty Job as the playable character for player 2. She wields water guns named Mona Soakers, where she cleans dirty kitchen utensils and dishes by spraying them with water.

5-Volt appears as a stage hazard in the Gamer stage of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. She randomly appears from the bedroom door, the window, or the television, just like in Game & Wario. Also, if there is a sketchbook or a game console on the stage, she can appear from there. Before she appears, there is a subtle audio cue. There are also fake-outs in the stage including a cat, an old man wearing a wig, an empty door, 5-Volt turning upside down (at the window), or a TV channel with a hand making a gesture. Additionally, 5-Volt may double-check the area by entering through the door multiple times or, when at the window, backing up and rechecking. Finally, with a different audio cue, 5-Volt may exit the TV and scan the entire table from right to left and back. If players are within 5-Volt's sight when she appears, they are knocked away as if they were hit by a strong attack. Players can avoid 5-Volt by avoiding her light, using the stage elements as cover.

Additionally, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate features an enhanceable, neutral Primary-type Advanced class spirit of 5-Volt. When the spirit reaches level 99, 5-Volt can get upgraded to an angry version of herself, who is an Ace-class spirit with a Critical-Health Attack boost.

5-Volt, WarioWare Gold

5-Volt is 9-Volt's mother who appears in the WarioWare series. She was first introduced in WarioWare: Twisted!, though she is not fully seen until Game & Wario. 5-Volt lives along with 9-Volt and presumably his pet Fronk in a house in Diamond City.

History[edit]

WarioWare series[edit]

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$![edit]

5-Volt (though not named as such) is first mentioned in the diary section of the WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! Japanese website. In his diary, 9-Volt writes that Wario gave his mother a Game Boy Advance SP for her birthday, which pleased her as she is an avid gamer. According to the entry, 5-Volt's birthday is on March 13.[2]

5-Volt makes her first in-game appearance in WarioWare: Twisted! in the epilogue of 9-Volt's stage. While 9-Volt and 18-Volt continue to play music in the former's room, 5-Volt's loud footsteps are heard as she approaches, and she opens the door to shout at 9-Volt to go to bed since it is past his bedtime. She is seen only from behind and from the knees down. After 9-Volt has gone to bed, he still furtively plays with his Game Boy Advance SP under the bedspread, but she catches him when she opens his room's door a second time and demands him to put his game away. 5-Volt's silhouette is seen in the doorway.

WarioWare: Touched![edit]

5-Volt is seen in WarioWare: Touched! as a silhouette in the Game Over screen of 9-Volt & 18-Volt's stage. She watches her son and his friend eating cake.

Game & Wario[edit]

A Gamer cutscene

5-Volt is seen again in Game & Wario, during the Gamer stage. This is the first game to show her face completely. She often drops by 9-Volt's room to check if he is sleeping, and the player must pause 9-Volt's console while she looks at him. She also can attempt fake-outs, as well as be seen on-screen twice at the same time.

In the cutscene before the game, she appears to take the game 9-Volt & 18-Volt are playing and orders them to do their homework. Once they finish, she returns the game to them. However, they both find out, in surprise, that 5-Volt has beaten their high score, specifically with a score of 100.

WarioWare Gold[edit]

5-Volt reappears in WarioWare Gold, now with her own set of microgames.

WarioWare: Get It Together![edit]

However, they soon remember other people were left behind in the game world, and they immediately return to rescue them.

As a playable character, 5-Volt herself does not move, but Left Stick moves a ghostly apparition of herself while she is in a state of deep sleep. After teleporting, she drops downward until she reaches solid footing and falls asleep, allowing the player to use her teleportation ability again. 5-Volt cannot teleport in front of most solid objects, but can teleport through walls and solid objects.

WarioWare: Move It![edit]

Super Smash Bros. series[edit]
