- —Pink comet, Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2
The pink comet is a character appearing in the Rosalina's Storybook chapters added to the Nintendo Switch port of Super Mario Galaxy 2. It is a large pink-colored comet made of stone with a Thwomp-like face. It appears hurtling past in the space after Mari leaves the Li'l Cinder planet. After noticing the comet, Mari approaches it and starts a conversation with it. In the conversation, the comet shows itself to be surprised by Mari's responses, because they sound too grown-up for a little one like her. The comet even almost crashes into a star thanks to the shock caused by these responses. After recommending Mari to go to home with her mama, it drifted away leaving Mari scoffing.

History
Super Mario series
Super Mario 64 / Super Mario 64 DS
Frozen trees first appear in Super Mario 64. Here they appear as snow-themed trees that behave exactly as their normal counterparts, as Mario can climb on top of them. They appear only in Cool, Cool Mountain and Snowman's Land.
New Super Mario Bros.
Frozen trees called snow-covered trees,[6] also refered to as Snowy Branches,[7] appear as obstacles in New Super Mario Bros. They have snow that hangs on their branches and falls once the player character walks underneath. Though the snow does not damage the player character, it does trap him for a moment, leaving him vulnerable to enemy attacks. The player character can escape the snow by pressing the jump button or simply not stand beneath the branch when the snow falls. Thirteen snow-covered trees appear in the game, all of them in the snow-themed World 5-1.
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Frozen trees appear as objects in Super Mario Galaxy. They only appear in Freezy Flake Galaxy in all three missions. They appear as large trees covered in snow, which contain various items inside. They can be destroyed by Fireballs from Fire Mario or by Rock Mario. Upon being destroyed they drop two Snowballs and can reveal a ? Block, 1-Up Mushroom, Warp Pipe or a Star Chip inside it. To complete the mission "The Chimp's Skating Challenge", the player must find a secret pipe hidden inside a frozen tree on the Snow Doll Koopa Planet.
