Weight Up
"Weight Up" is a one-page comic from the Adventures of the Super Mario Bros. No. 5 edition of the Super Mario Bros. series of comics. Its title is a pun on the phrase "weighed up."
Plot synopsis[edit]
The comic starts with King Toadstool on a scale, who is surprised that he is overweight, with Princess Toadstool telling him to go on a diet. Days later, the two are having a feast with Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Wooster. While everyone else is eating turkey, the king only has celery on his plate. Luigi asks the king how his celery is, to which he responds that it is delicious, despite there still being a whole celery on the plate. Everyone except King Toadstool, satisfied by their feast, leaves the room, with the Princess commenting that she is so proud of the king, as she believes that he has been on a celery diet for an entire week, though Mario asks her if she is sure he is not smuggling food in some way. The king takes off his crown, and it is revealed that it is actually a chocolate cake in disguise, with him apparently having had a few other "crown-cakes" delivered to his castle by the Fakery Bakery.
