(This seems to be edited with the idea that the Bull's-Eye Bill proposal would succeed; it did not, so dialing it back a bit to match (also Encyclopedia sometimes overlooks certain enemies and objects, SMM came out after CTTT, and Bull's-Eye is hyphenated))

Template:More images A Bull's-Eye Blaster, also referred to as simply Bill Blaster, is a type of Bill Blaster that fires Bull's-Eye Bills. Even though the current Search Killer (サーチキラー) was introduced in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, their Bill Blasters were not distinguished from ordinary ones in that game,[1] and were differentiated in varying degrees up until Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, which formally introduced a consistent appearance of the Bill Blaster along with the current English name of Bull's-Eye Bill.

History

Super Mario Bros. 3

Unnamed Turtle Cannons that shoot Missile Bills debut in Super Mario Bros. 3, where they look exactly like normal ones. They only appear in World 4-5.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island / Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3

Red Turtle Cannons capable of firing red Bullet Bills are unused in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island; however, they do appear in Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 in the final secret level, Endless World of Yoshis.[2] Like green Turtle Cannons, they are fixed in two directions, unlike yellow Turtle Cannons. Like the game's other Turtle Cannons, they do not have their usual skull icon. This is the first game to color-code them red.

Bull's-Eye Blasters from New Super Mario Bros Wii.

In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Missile Bills are shot from unnamed Bill Blasters. They are back to their original coloration from Super Mario Bros. 3, making them indistinguishable from ordinary Bill Blasters except they are taller constructions in pits and are somewhat obscured by fog (which can be temporarily cleared via Spin Jump).

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

Bull's-Eye Blasters appear in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, where they again conform to a red color and appear to be in their modern iteration for the first time.

Yoshi's Woolly World / Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World

In Yoshi's Woolly World and its port, Bull's-Eye Blasters appear in Knot-Wing the Koopa's Sky Fort. The ones in alcoves only fire in one direction, but the ones hanging on the ceiling point themselves at Yoshi. They have a similar appearance as the red cannons in the previous Yoshi game.

Super Mario Maker series

In Super Mario Maker and its port, they appear when the player shakes a Bill Blaster, where they are red once again. If any other enemy or item is placed inside one, it will fire that element indefinitely at a faster speed than normal Bill Blasters do. In all styles except New Super Mario Bros. U, their skull icon gains angry eyes and devil horns, slightly resembling Bowser. They return in similar capacity in Super Mario Maker 2.
