The Grappling Vine Badge in Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park is an Action Badge that gives players the ability to vine-grapple. The badge's effects can be activated by pressing R Button or shaking the controller, which causes a vine to be flung horizontally in the player's direction. If the vine hits a wall, the character is rapidly pulled in the wall's direction; once the player reaches a wall, they cling onto it for a brief moment before they begin to slide down. The badge can be used to quickly scale any lone wall, by turning around and launching the vine again after jumping off from a previous grapple, and then repeating the process. Because the player character needs to be able to cling to the walls they get pulled towards, the vine will only attach to perfectly vertical walls, and will travel around any slants in its path.

The effects of this badge are similar to that of the Yoshi capture in Super Mario Odyssey, with his ability to grapple and cling onto walls with his tongue, as well as Flying Squirrel Mario's ability to cling onto walls.

The badge is obtained by completing either of its Badge Challenges, Badge Challenge Grappling Vine I and Badge Challenge Grappling Vine II.

In Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park, the Grappling Vine Badge is incorporated into a single Dual Badge, that being the Wall-Climb Jump + Grappling Vine Badge.
