Launching Blocks are objects in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. They are red blocks with two arrows pointing up and down. Striking a Launching Block from underneath or from the side causes the block to launch up into the sky, taking out any enemies and collecting any coins or flower coins in its path. This method is required to collect several 10-flower coins. Striking it from above instead results in it launching downward. Launching Blocks appear in the courses Countdown to Drop Down and Cruising with Linking Lifts.
In Super Mario Bros. Wonder – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Meetup in Bellabel Park, Launching Blocks are prominently featured in the Battle Royale: Survival Challenge course Aim to Win with Launching Blocks. A Poplin in the Tour Plaza of Bellabel Park discourages making a stairway out of Launching Blocks.
A variant of the Launching Block based on a ? Block appears in multiple courses, including The Sharp Trial: Launch to Victory.
