(The crowd of Tostarenans talk over each other.)

(Yoshi's roar is heard from the Inverted Pyramid, which the Tostarenans are pointing towards.)

Yoshi: (whimpers in fear)
Mario: "Hey. It's alright." (slowly lures Yoshi out) "Easy..." (Yoshi lightens up and embraces Mario) "Okay, okay! What's your name, little guy?"
Yoshi: "Yoshi!"
Luigi: "Nice to meet you, Yoshi!"
Mario: "How did you get in a Warp Pipe?"
Yoshi: (explains his backstory in his native language. This is accompanied by a visual sequence to allow the audience to understand it.)

Mario and Luigi leave Tostarena Town

Mario: "Found the problem!"
(The Tostarenans cheer.)
Tostarenan: "Hola, Yoshi!"

(The UFO flies to Planet Bowser, with airships clearing the way.)
Yellow Luma: "Mama, I'm scared."
Rosalina: "It's gonna be alright."
(Kamek laughs as the cage lands)
Bowser Jr.: "My Koopas, guess who stole a princess!"

Mario talking to Peach on her birthday

Mario: "Hey. You're missing your own party."
Peach: "Hm. I hate birthdays."
Mario: "Yeah. Luigi spent his tenth birthday crying. Said his "childhood was over.""
Peach: (chuckles) "Well the crazy thing is, today's not my real birthday. It's just the day the Toads found me. They have no idea where I came from. I've lived my entire life wondering where my family is."
Mario: "That must be so hard."
Peach: "Sometimes I just feel so... lost."
Mario: (teasing) "...Guess since it's not your actual birthday... you don't want a present."
Peach: "Mario!" (laughs, and lightly punches Mario in the arm)
Mario: "Alright, fine, fine!"
(Mario gives Peach the present. She opens it, takes out the parasol inside, and gleefully spins around while opening the parasol.)
Peach: (laughs) "I love it."

Peach talks to the yellow Luma and leaves

Yellow Luma: "Princess Peach, I finally found you!"
(Scene cuts to Peach's room in her castle.)
Peach: "Feel better, now?"
(The yellow Luma nods yes.)
Yellow Luma: "I can't believe it's really you! Our mama read us so many bedtime stories about you."
Peach: "Me? Are you sure?"
Yellow Luma: "She says anything ever happened to her, to find you, and you'd help us. Princess, our mama's been taken!"
Peach: "What happened?"
Yellow Luma: "A giant robot took her to a scary planet out beyond the Gateway Galaxy. Can you help us?"
(Mario and the Toads barge through her door, catching her off-guard.)
Mario: "Peach, sorry, I tri-"
Toad General: "Yes yes, we were eavesdropping."
Yellow Toad: "Don't you even think about leaving!"
Mario: "Guys, can we just give the princess a minute? She'll figure out what to do."
Red Toad: "I disagree Mario! Even though my pajamas say otherwise."
Toad General: "There is nothing to figure out, she is not leaving!"
Toads: "(nodding) Yes."
Mario: "Alright, guys, let's go. We'll discuss for the morning. Good night, princess."
(Mario closes the door.)
(Peach looks at the yellow Luma, who is frowning.)
Peach: "Toad, pack our things."
(Toad and the yellow Luma are excited.)
(Peach writes a letter for Mario, and she and Toad depart for the Gateway Galaxy through a Launch Star created by the yellow Luma.)
(The next day...)
Mario: "What happened?"
Toad General: "She left this for you."
(Cut to a shot of Peach's letter, based on the opening scene of Super Mario 64.)
Peach: "Dear Mustache, I've gone to the Gateway Galaxy to begin my search for the Luma's Mom. I'm leaving the kingdom in your hands. Sincerely, Peach"
(Back to the castle.)
Luigi: "'Sincerely'? Ooh-la-la! That's a good sign!"
Toad General: "Princess Peach is gone?"
Purple Toad General: "Oh, no!"
(The Toads scream and panic.)
Mario: "Everyone calm down!"
(The Toads stop panicking.)
Mario: "The Super Mario Bros. can take care of the kingdom."

Mario and Luigi talking to Mini-Bowser

Luigi: "Hey, big guy!"
Bowser: (screams) "You scared me."
Luigi: "You wanted to see us?"

(Bowser shuffles through some of his paintings before grabbing one and exiting onto his mini-castle's balcony.)
Bowser: "Hah! Hey Luigi! ...What's up Mario. Behold! I made a masterpiece for Princess Peach!" (Bowser flips around his portrait of himself and Peach) "What do you think? And be honest!"
Luigi: "Love the colors!"
Mario: "The criticism I'd give you... is it's trash."
Bowser: (furiously) "How dare you look at my masterpiece and say that! You think painting is easy? I'll burn the skin off your bones!" (Bowser recollects himself) "Wow!" (chuckles) "Sorry about that. That's the old Bowser talking. Heh. Still working through my demons I suppose. Hahaha! All good, all better now! Anyway, it's not just a present, it's a peace offering! I'd like her to release me. Not for good behavior — for awesome behavior!"
Mario: "She'd never release you! And don't even ask about making you big again."
Bowser: "Even though I'm totally rehabilitated?!"
Luigi: "Mario, he's really changed. We're doing a weekly book club together."
Bowser: "I bring the soup!"
Mario: "She doesn't trust you! And neither do I."
Bowser: "Oh you better start trusting me or I will eat your soul and... " (Bowser recollects himself again) "Heh-heh. I'm sorry, that's- it's just, oh wow, heh-heh. Alright, you know what guys? I'm gonna hit the sack. I need my eight hours or else I really turn into a monster. Hahaha- Ahh!"
(Bowser's tail gets caught in the door, and he wails and breathes fire in pain for several seconds before reopening the door.)

Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi face off Wonder Bowser Jr.

Mario: "Mamma-mia."
Yoshi: "Whoa!"
(Bowser Jr. flies down in his Junior Clown Car.)
Bowser Jr.: "In the name of the Koopas, I demand that you release my father."
Mario: "Over my dead body."
Bowser Jr.: "Fine with me."
(Bowser Jr. transforms into his Wonder form using his magic paintbrush, snickering menacingly.)
Luigi: "Why don't we start over, and introduce ourselves. Okay, uh, hi, I'm Luigi..." (Yoshi waves his hand with Luigi.)
(Bowser Jr. holds his spiked mace upright.)
Bowser Jr.: "I'm Bowser Jr., and I'm gonna be taking my father now!"

Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi interact with Mini-Bowser

Mario: "Hold on!"
(Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi escape the crumbling castle at Honeyhive Galaxy.).
Mario, Luigi and Yoshi: "Phew!"
(The castle collapses.)
Mario: "Everyone okay?"
Luigi: "Where are we?"
(Mini-Bowser tumbles next to them and comes out of his shell.)
Bowser: "Ah! Ha-ha! Sweet freedom!"
Mario: "You got to be kidding me!'"
Bowser: "(posing) Bye, suckas!"
Mario: "Hey, get back here!"
Bowser: "No! Ya can't catch the wind!"
(Bowser runs laughing before he gets grabbed by Mario.)

Bowser: "My... son? (sighs) I haven't seen him in years. Mario, I was a terrible father. He must hate me."
Mario: "Hate you? Your son tried to chop my head off just to free you! He wants to see you, he could use just some guidance."
Bowser: "'Really? You think I might have a shot at reconnecting with my boy?"
Luigi: "Aww, see, Mario? He’s gotten really in touch with his feelings!"

Toad: "Woah, the Gateway Galaxy!" (The two are exploring as Toad rushes to a wanted poster of Rosalina.)

Toad: "This must be what you're looking for."
(Peach looks at the wanted poster before cutting to a flashback scene of her being separated from Rosalina.)
Baby Peach: "No, no, noooo!"
(Baby Peach travels through the Warp Pipe. Cuts back to reality.)
Toad: "Princess, are you okay?"
Ukiki: "(sobs) Ukiki is lost. Have you seen Ukiki's friends?"

(Ukiki steals Toad's bag.)
Toad: "That monkey just used his cuteness for crime!"

Toad: "All of our coins and power-ups are in there! And my unfinished novel!"
(Peach and Toad corner Ukiki in an area behind a wind grate.)

(Ukiki jumps through a brick wall.)

Luigi: "So, uh, Bowser really wants to talk to you about something."
Bowser: "You know, Mario...all boys believe their fathers are larger than life. I don't wanna disappoint my boy by being so small!"
Mario: "I'm not making you big."
Bowser: "You're used to living a pint-sized life, but I was born to be big! Undo the power of the blue mushroom and I shall fight by your side for all of eternity!"

(Bowser sets Mario down onto the ground)
Bowser: "What are you guys waiting for? There's a castle up there! Come on, follow me!"

Peach interrogating Wart

Toad: "Woah."
(Cuts to various shots of Wart's Casino.)
Toad: "(gasps and whispers) Princess."

Ukiki: "Ukiki thinks your novel stinks!" (Ukiki throws the novel at Toad's face)

(Peach puts down Wart as she and Toad leave).

Honeybee: "You will have to speak to the queen, but the scary-looking guy stays here."

Bowser: "Release them! I shall serve their sentence in their stead. I can do the work of a hundred men, and at least ten thousand bees. Take me, and send them to the Gateway Galaxy."
(The Honey Queen picks Bowser up and examines him. He flexes his arm to the point where the spiked ring on it breaks.)
Honey Queen: "Hmmm. We have a deal. Get them to the Gateway Galaxy!"
Mario: "Are you sure about this?" (Bowser nods) "You're not as horrible as I thought. Thank you." (Mario extends his hand for a handshake)
Bowser: "Put that away!"
(Bowser wraps Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi in a group hug.)
Bowser: (To Luigi) "You take care of him, okay?"
Luigi: "I always knew."
Honey Queen: "This miserable bug will give you passage."
(Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi climb onto the Mandibug.)
Bowser: "Go, make your old enemy proud."

Bowser conversing with the Honeybees

Honeybee: "When I'm free, me and my girl are gonna go dancing till the sun rises."
Honeybee: "You got a honey back home?"
Bowser: "She bailed at the altar, left me twisted in the wind. I'm still healing, remembering who I was before her."
Honeybee: "That is one sensitive soul."
(Bowser Jr.'s UFO abducts Bowser.)
Honeybee: "Stay strong! You'll find the right one someday!"

Bowser reuniting with Bowser Jr. and the flashback to Bowser Jr.'s bedtime story

Bowser Jr.: "Hi Dad."
Bowser: "Junior?" (Bowser rushes over to embrace his son) "My boy! You got so big! This is all yours? ...Hey, aren't you supposed to be in boarding school?"
Bowser Jr.: "Boarding school? More like boring school! I got expelled!"
Bowser: "Hahaha! You really grew up when I wasn't paying attention!"
Bowser Jr.: "Dad! We're about to become the two most powerful dudes in the universe! Remember when I was a baby turtle? You were working so hard trying to conquer the world! But once in a while you'd have a night off, and you'd tuck me in and tell me our favorite bedtime story. Those were the best nights of my life!"
(The scene cuts to a flashback of a younger Bowser Jr. being tucked into bed by Bowser.)
Bowser Jr.: "Tell me the story!"
Bowser: "Again?" (chuckles)
(Bowser begins to tell the bedtime story using puppets of himself and his son behind a cardboard stage.)
Bowser: "Back in the days of yore, there was a powerful villain with awesome hair. He loved conquering everything. You see, this villain had a son. The two roamed the universe desperate for a place to call home. But everywhere they went was just incredibly... lame."
Bowser Jr.: "Gross!"
Bowser: "So, they decided to make their own planet! Behold, Planet Bowser! A sinister sanctuary where they could spend the rest of their days. They built an evil roller coaster! A gorge full of lava! And they carved a giant mountain into the shape of their heads! And at the top of the planet, they built the biggest cannon ever! It could destroy the universe! They called it..."
Bowser Jr.: "The Boomsday Weapon!"
Bowser: "To power it, they needed..."
Bowser Jr.: "The most powerful princess in the universe!"
Bowser: "And when they had drained all her power, and the weapon was ready, they went planet by planet, destroying all those who disrespected them! BOOM!"
Bowser Jr.: "BOOM!"
Bowser: "BOOM!" (breathes fire) "Until they danced on the ashes of the universe, and reigned supreme! The end."
Bowser Jr.: "Dad, will you tell me again tomorrow night?"
Bowser: "Of course. Goodnight, my boy." (kisses Bowser Jr. goodnight)
(The scene cuts back to the present.)
Bowser Jr.: "Dad, I built us that planet!"
Bowser: "You did?"
Bowser Jr.: "We're going there right now! You and me, two Bowsers, no limits!"
(Bowser embraces his son again before Kamek appears.)
Kamek: (chuckles nervously) "My lords! We have a problem." (Kamek points to a screen with Wart's grimacing face)

Peach and Toad meeting R.O.B.

R.O.B.: "Welcome to the information booth! My name is R.O.B. Would you like some information?"
Peach: "We need to find a pilot. And quick."
R.O.B.: "Certainly! Pilots can be found on the flight deck, which is located right overrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..."
Toad: "Oh, R.O.B.! You're killing me!"
R.O.B.: (resets back to his original position) "I'm sorry, I do not wish to kill you."
Peach: "Ughhh, Toad!"
R.O.B.: "I am R.O.B."
Peach: "I know!"
R.O.B.: "Great! Thanks for visiting information."
Peach: "Where. Is. The flight deck?"
R.O.B.: "Right overrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... here."
Peach: "Thank you!"
R.O.B.: "You're welcome!"

Peach and Toad meeting Fox McCloud

Peach: "Hi there, can you take us to the Space Junk Galaxy?"
Bubblainian: "Duh, no."
Peach: "Uh, excuse me, how much to take us to the Space Junk Galaxy?"
Whittle: "Too dangerous for this little flyboy!"
(Peach sighs.)
Fox: "So, tell me this: why is a princess trying to go to the most dangerous place in the galaxy?"
Toad: "Who are you?"
Fox: "Don't ask me personal questions."
Toad: "Oh, I'm so sorry, I-"
Fox: "I'm Fox McCloud!"
(Scene switches to an anime sequence illustrating Fox's backstory.)
Fox: (continuing) "Leader of the legendary Star Fox team! I only care about three things: Keeping the Lylat System safe, fighting with my buds, and doing extreme, dangerous, barrel rolls - Let's go! Then one day, my warp drive exploded, blew a giant hole in the fabric of space and time and I got sucked into a different universe. That's what I get for making a frog my engineer. Now I roam your galaxy, trying to find a way home, doing good, when the price is right."
(Scene switches back to reality.)
Fox: "Oh, and I also have cool space boots."
Toad: "Whoa...."
Peach: "Now that's the backstory of the guy who's going to take us to the Space Junk Galaxy."
Fox: "How desperate for money do you think I am?"
(Toad opens his backpack full of coins.)
Fox: "Alright, you got a deal. I'll fuel up the Arwing, we'll take off in five."
Toad: "That was the coolest dude I've ever seen."

Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi approaching the Gateway Galaxy

Luigi: "Mario! I have a great idea. When you see Peach, you should catch up and go, 'Oh blah blah blah, oh hi, how are you?' and then boom! You should ask her out on a date!"
Mario: "I don't know Lu. You think a princess would ever date a plumber?"
Yoshi: "Oooh..."
Luigi: "Mario, she would be the luckiest princess in the world to be your girlfriend. She is going to say yes! And then you're going to ask her if she has a friend for me!"
Mario: (chuckles) "Now, we just need to find her."

Mario, Luigi, and Toad rendezvous with Peach and Toad before meeting Fox McCloud

Mario: "Peach? Peach!"
Peach: "Mario? Mario!"
Toad: "Oh, Yoshi's here. Yay."
(Peach opens her arms out for a hug while Mario holds his hand out)
Peach: "A handshake?"
Mario: "Thought it would be cool. I mean, just thought it would be cool. Thought that would be good...?"
Peach: "Mario, I found where Rosalina is, and this guy is gonna take us there."
(Mario and Fox initially glare at each other intensely, but then smile at one another.)
Mario: "Nice ride!"
Fox: "Nice 'stache."
Mario: "Let's go!"

Mario comforting an angry Peach

Mario: "Hey. We are gonna find a way off this planet."
Peach: "Mario, we're galaxies away from Rosalina, we can't fix the ship, and somehow, we keep adding dinosaurs!"
Mario: "I know you're frustrated-"
Peach: "Princesses don't get frustrated!"
Mario: "Okay, well, can I be not frustrated with you?"

Rosalina and Peach's backstory

Rosalina: "Once upon a time, there was a brave and noble princess named Peach. Her story begins many years ago... When she lived on a small planet with her sister, Rosalina. The two sisters were made of stardust. Their love burned as brightly as the stars themselves. Together, they could summon the power of the cosmos. But evil forces wanted the power for themselves. Rosalina had to send Peach away to safety."
Baby Peach: "No, no, noooo!"
(Baby Peach travels through the Warp Pipe.)
Rosalina: "The Toads raised and protected her, until she grew strong enough to protect them."

Mario and Peach confront Bowser

Mario: "Bowser. It didn't have to be this way. I know there's still some good in you-" (Bowser interrupts Mario by breathing a fireball at him, but he misses.)
Peach: "Let us pass. Now."
Bowser: "Or what? You'll humiliate me at my wedding? Shrink me to a nub and then put me in a jar? Make me join a book club?! We had our moment, Mario, but Bowser is back. And now you will feel my fury!"

Peach and Rosalina's family reunion

Peach: "Mario! Mario, come meet my sister!"
Mario: "I'm so happy you found each other."
Luigi: "Aw, I love a family reunion!"
Mario and Luigi: "Hey-o!"
(Peach and Rosalina laughs)
(The Comet Observatory, piloted by Fox McCloud, and Toad lands in front of them)
Lumas: "Mama?! Oh mama!"
Rosalina: "Ah!" (embraces the Lumas) "Oh! My babies!" (laughs)
Lumas: "We missed you so much!"
Rosalina: "I missed you too!"
Lumas: "Mama, can we see her castle? I wanna see the castle!"
Rosalina: (chuckles) "Okay, okay."

The group returns to Peach's Castle to find it completely gone

Luma: "Where's your castle?"
(everyone turns to Mario and Luigi)
Luigi: *"Ohh, well the castle, yeah, the castle, umm... it died."
Luma: "What are you talking about?"
Mario: "Y'know what, guys? We're gonna build the best castle ever! Who wants to help?"

The mid-credits scene

Toad security guard: "So where are you off to next?"
Fox: "That nice space princess fixed up my warp drive and I'm heading home. Good luck with them, that is one complicated family."
(Scene switches to a shot of the prison, then to the Bowsers who Fox has sent there.)
Dry Bowser: "Don't worry, son. No jail can hold us."
Bowser Jr.: (while digging) "We'll be outta here soon!"
(The Bowsers suddenly hear a noise: a baton dragging through the prison bars. It is revealed to be Lumalee, wearing a police hat.)
Lumalee: "Hello, maggots. Trying to escape? You're gonna play by my rules now!"
Dry Bowser: "Stay close, son. She can't break us!"
Lumalee: "First goes the body, then goes the bones." (giggles) "Then all that's left is dust."
Dry Bowser: "You be quiet! Right now!"
Lumalee: "You can't silence the truth. It only makes it louder! Like the approaching drumbeat... of death!" (laughs) "Boom... boom... boom... boom..."
(Dry Bowser and Bowser Jr. scream in horror.)
