The "Title Theme" is a recurring musical theme used in the Super Mario Maker series. Across the series, the theme has received various arrangements, including multiple 8-bit variations.

Super Mario Maker

The "Title Theme" first appeared in Super Mario Maker and is reused in the Nintendo 3DS port, Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS. As the name suggests, it plays on the title screen.

If a Super Mario Bros.- or Super Mario Bros. 3-style level is loaded in the title screen, an NES-style chiptune rendition of theme plays, and if the player rides Yoshi, an extra drumbeat similar to New Super Mario Bros. U-style level themes will be added to the theme.

In the Nintendo 3DS version, the first few notes of "Title Theme" is heard when selecting the game on the Nintendo 3DS HOME Menu.

Super Mario Maker 2

"Title Theme" returns with an updated arrangement in Super Mario Maker 2. As part of this arrangement, the instrumentation has been completely redone.

Much like the original "Title Theme", the theme is accompanied by NES-style and Yoshi variants, both of which are triggered by the same conditions as in the original Super Mario Maker, and received similar instrumentation updates. Additionally, if a nighttime level is loaded in the title screen, a music box rendition of the theme plays.

The story mode also features partial arrangements of "Title Theme" in its opening and staff roll themes, with the latter also incorporating the 8-bit version.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U

An arrangement of "Title Theme", titled "Title (Super Mario Maker)", appears as downloadable content for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, serving as one of themes for the Super Mario Maker stage. This arrangement returns in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, now titled "Title Theme - Super Mario Maker", where it can be played on any Super Smash Bros.- and Super Mario-series stage.

Super Nintendo World

An arrangement of the "Title Theme" is featured at Super Nintendo World. It plays in the 1-UP Factory.
