Jimmy T, WarioWare: Twisted!

Jimmy Thang, more commonly known as Jimmy T (abbreviated as Jimmy T. prior to Game & Wario), is a major human character in the WarioWare series. He first appeared as one of WarioWare, Inc.'s employees in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!. He is an obsessive disco-dancer with a blue afro wig and a mustache that resembles musical notes. He enjoys dancing at nightclubs, particularly Club Sugar. His family members all share his passion for dancing.

History[edit]

WarioWare series[edit]

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$![edit]

Jimmy T.
Jimmy T. congratulating the player after beating his stage in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!

Jimmy is first seen in WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!'s intro, called by Wario to join his "company", WarioWare, Inc., and to produce microgames for his upcoming game. Alongside Wario's other friends, he agrees.

In his own story, Jimmy frequents a dance club called Club Sugar. There, he dances to disco music and takes out his ringing cell phone. When the show is over, he leaves the club walking past people, using his cell phone to listen to another ringtone, this time a dog's barking. After, he approaches the Gelateria and stands behind the second-story window.

In addition to his story, Jimmy hosts two remix stages. The first stage contains the microgames of Dribble & Spitz, Mona, and 9-Volt. The second stage contains the microgames of Orbulon, Dr. Crygor, Kat, and Ana. He has a yellow and red afro in those stages respectively.

Jimmy makes a short appearance in the game's ending story. In the WarioWare headquarters, Wario runs off with the profits made from the game after he is called out on hoarding it. Jimmy is shocked but does not chase after him. He later watches as Wario plummets to the ocean.

For WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!, Jimmy created microgames of the Sports genre. As its name implies, all games involve some kind of sport. He also provides two remixes, meaning that he provides mixes of the microgames of other characters.

Jimmy T. is featured in three unlockable minigames. A tiny Jimmy appears in the two-player minigame VS Chiritorie. At random intervals, he wanders around the screen. If he is sucked up, he clogs the vacuum cleaner and causes it to spit out wads of paper, including a giant one worth five. Fly Swatter features Jimmy in the congratulation sequence. In Paper Plane, Jimmy is the first character to appear outside of a window. He states the amount of time it took for the paper plane to reach that point.

WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$![edit]

Jimmy's girlfriend gives him the choice

In WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!, it is revealed that he had a girlfriend, who dumped him because she thought that he enjoyed dancing more than spending time with her. In Club Sugar, she asks him if he liked her or dancing more. Shortly afterwards, Jimmy starts to dance, causing the woman to leave. Jimmy bursts into tears and claims that the rhythm made him do it.

He and the rest of the WarioWare Inc. employees are at Restaurant Sora Sora during the cast roll.

Jimmy T.'s Sports microgames return, and he hosts the multiplayer mode Survival Fever. He is also one of the ten selectable characters in multiplayer games. His afro, jacket, and shoes are tinted in the player's color.

WarioWare: Twisted![edit]

Jimmy's parents, Papa and Mama T., are introduced in WarioWare: Twisted!. They dance along with their son at Club Sugar. While the family are still on the dance floor, Sugar, the club owner, tells the Thangs that the dinner they ordered is ready. However, instead of eating, Jimmy's parents take pictures of him holding up utensils using their cellphones. Annoyed, Sugar says that their dinner is getting cold, and he finally tells Jimmy and his parents to leave Club Sugar and closes the club. He later dances with the other WarioWare, Inc. employees. He and Fronk are the only employees in this game who do not appear in Wario-Man's ending.

Jimmy's microgames in WarioWare: Twisted!, involve a particular style of gameplay rather than a specific visual theme, which was also continued for the next games in the series until WarioWare: D.I.Y. In this game, his set of microgames is called Big Tipper and requires large spins.

Jimmy T. also appears in WarioWare Twisted Marble Maze Game, where he can be seen on the Round 1 board. He is referred to as simply "Jimmy".

WarioWare: Touched![edit]

Scene from the prologue of Jimmy T.: Scratchy the 'Fro Bug is aiming Jimmy T.

In WarioWare: Touched!, a speaker announces "Jimmy's Showtime" at Club Sugar. Jimmy appears on the dance floor as usual and receives the applause of the public. He then summons his parents and his younger siblings Jamie and James T. onto the dance floor. The family starts to dance, but Scratchy the 'Fro Bug flies through Club Sugar and lands right into Jimmy's wig. This causes Jimmy's afro to itch and he starts to move erratically. However, the other Thangs think that Jimmy's moves are just another dance. After scratching the bug out of his wig, Jimmy continues dancing with his family. During gameplay, they all look at Jimmy's cell phone. They laugh when the player clears a microgame and grimace when the player fails.

After the show ends, Jimmy's Folks walk through the streets of Diamond City. Scratchy, now with a bandage on its head, reappears and flies into Jimmy's wig, causing him to move hectically again. Once again, his family thinks that he is just dancing. He later walks to the Hawt House and dances there.

In WarioWare: Touched!, the name of Jimmy's set of microgames is Dance Club Rub and involves rubbing with the Stylus.

WarioWare: Smooth Moves[edit]

Scene from the epilogue of Jimmy T.: Jimmy dances with the Legendary Cat Dancers.

In WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Jimmy walks down to Club Sugar with an umbrella on a rainy night. While he is walking, he sees a soaked cat, and decides to give the cat his umbrella. This act causes the Legendary Cat Dancers to follow Jimmy and imitate his dance movements. Jimmy and the cats start to dance and continue to dance once they reach Club Sugar.

After their dance is finished, the cats walk out, each saying "meow." In the end, the pitied cat gives the umbrella back to Jimmy, earning a smile from him.

At the end of Jimmy P.'s story, Jimmy T. pats on Jimmy P.'s shoulder, leading to the two of them facing each other. At the end of Tiny Wario's story, he is seen walking while Wario is chased by some Splunks.

WarioWare: Smooth Moves is the only game where he does not have any unique microgames. Instead, he along with Jimmy P. provides a mix of microgames of other characters. The games start at Level 2 instead of Level 1.

WarioWare: Snapped![edit]

In WarioWare: Snapped!, Jimmy T. runs the newly opened Wario Park along with Wario, Mona, Kat, and Ana. In his stage, the player has to perform actions to finish the microgames. After the stage is completed, Jimmy compliments the player on their acting skills, and he puts photos taken of the player into a comic strip.

WarioWare: D.I.Y.[edit]

Jimmy stars in his own aerobics TV show called Jimmy's Aerobics in WarioWare: D.I.Y., where he is seen doing aerobics along with two women in the background. In this game, it is revealed that, along with Mona, Ashley, Orbulon, and 9-Volt, Jimmy T. had left WarioWare, Inc. and now works for Diamond Software.

In WarioWare: D.I.Y., Jimmy returns to his original role and hosts a set of new Sports microgames.

Game & Wario[edit]

In Game & Wario, Jimmy T hosts the Ski minigame. In the minigame's introduction, Jimmy is seen skiing with the Ski bunnies and a bear. The player controls Jimmy by tilting the GamePad, with the main objective of arriving at the end of the course in the shortest time possible in order to get the Gold medal.

Like the rest of the WarioWare cast, Jimmy T is seen in the Bowling minigame, depicted on a bowling pin.

Jimmy T is also appears as the host of the ninth Miiverse Sketch Masterpiece Collection video, a series showcasing pictures of often questionable quality made in the game's Miiverse Sketch mode, with the video being themed after Sumo Wrestlers.

WarioWare Gold[edit]

Jimmy T reappears in WarioWare Gold, where he once again hosts Sports microgames in the Mash League. In his story, Jimmy walks down Sapphire Street and approaches a cat who then takes refuge in his hair. After, he runs into Amy and Mimi and ask if they can take pictures. They take many pictures of him as the night goes by. When they are done, they show him the "best" picture, which happens to be of the cat. Jimmy is initially shocked but shrugs it off.

During the Dancing Team set of the Ultra League, Jimmy T arrives with Mona, Dr. Crygor, Mike, Fronk, Young Cricket, Master Mantis, Kat, Ana, and Penny to assist Joe in filling his nightclub, Club Joe, with attendants. He is seen dancing with the rest of the group.

In his character trailer, he, the cat, Amy, and Mimi stand in the room from Love Rap 2 from Rhythm Heaven Fever as a speaker announces that it is "Jimmy's Showtime". He takes out his phone and scrolls through photos of his family, him and Jimmy P., and him and Wario. The group poses as a camera takes pictures of them.

WarioWare: Get It Together![edit]

Jimmy T leading the group at Feelin' Groovy Fitness

Jimmy T appears in WarioWare: Get It Together! In the game's story mode, he appears in the opening cutscene, looking at his cellphone. When Wario announces the completion of his new game, Jimmy becomes eager to see the finished product. He, along with the rest of the WarioWare, Inc. employees, gets sucked in the game world due to Wario's actions.

His stage is the Sports stage, which is available after Kat & Ana's Nature stage is completed. In the pre-stage cutscene, Wario, Dr. Crygor, Mike, Kat, and Ana notice that area in front of Jimmy's stage is rather dark. As Dr. Crygor comments on the unsettling nature of the entrance, Mike mocks him for being afraid of the dark. Dr. Crygor rebukes him, but the stage suddenly becomes completely dark, causing Crygor to scream out in terror, and Mike to further mock his creator's cowardice. Suddenly, a spotlight shines on the center of the stage, with Jimmy T posing under the spotlight. He complains that his stage is completely ruined, but when Kat informs him about the game bugs, Jimmy prepares to exterminate them and reclaim his dance floor.

In his story, Jimmy leads Joe, Lulu, Young Cricket, and Master Mantis in an aerobics performance in front of a crowd at Feelin' Groovy Fitness. The crowd is initially unimpressed with Joe's performance, until Jimmy changes into a golden, sparkling afro and leotard to lead the aerobics group in a performance that garners acclaim from the crowd. After his stage is cleared, Jimmy joins the gang, calling the experience groovy.

After beating Anything Goes, Jimmy goes back to the real world alongside most of the other WarioWare, Inc. employees and chases after Wario after it is revealed their predicament was caused by his poor programming. However, they soon remember other people were left behind in the game world, and they immediately return to rescue them.

As a playable character, Jimmy is controlled by tilting Left Stick to choose a direction, and A Button making him launch himself a small distance toward the chosen direction. This is similar to Dr. Crygor's control scheme, except requiring the player to repeatedly press A Button to move a longer distance. This allows Jimmy to excel in microgames where large objects must be moved in specific directions to win (e.g. Baseball Break-In and Sleep Clinic, two of 4 microgames considered a good fit). Like Dr. Crygor, he is also good at applying constant pressure (e.g. Don't Waste the Paste and Stop the Stopper, the other two good fits) and spinning objects (e.g. Weird Windmill). However, he is inconsistent in moving smaller objects, such as in A Call to Fall and Slime Time (the two microgames considered a bad fit). Overall, Jimmy T is fairly consistent in most microgames, with 122 microgames deeming him an average fit.

WarioWare: Move It![edit]

In WarioWare: Move It!, Jimmy T, along with the rest of the WarioWare cast, join Wario on his trip to Caresaway Island. In his stage, entitled "Surfin' Surprise", he goes out surfing alongside some dolphins. At some point, however, he lost his surfboard and began to surf on a shark instead, much to his shock. The shark speeds off, leaving Jimmy to hang on as they accidentally splash Winnie and Summer in the process. Much later, as the sun starts to set, he waves goodbye to the shark and then strikes a pose while a wall of water rises up behind him.

Jimmy T also appears in the second Remix stage, "Pool-Party Panic". After Kat & Ana accidentally get a ball lodged in Poolopus's mouth, Jimmy T joins the rest of the crew in trying to remove it, only to be flung into the air before landing on a moving tour bus.

Jimmy T appears again, along with the entire WarioWare crew, in the final stage, "Lava at First Sight", where Volcano Wario threatens the island. Jimmy is the first to offer to dance in order to calm the volcano down. Eventually, everyone's dancing succeeds in defeating Volcano Wario, and the crew continues to enjoy their vacation.

In WarioWare: Move It!, Jimmy's set of microgames involves the forms Archer, Lovestruck, and Pounce.
