Armadillos[1] are a species of armored mammals that serves as the basis of many creatures in the Super Mario franchise, which are typically enemies.
In Mario Kart World, armadillos are found in the savanna and desert region, where they are mostly found on routes to Faraway Oasis. They wander about in groups and will ball up, charging at racers as they approach. A racer will spin out if an armadillo manages to collide into them. This forces racers to be cautious and stay on alert if a group of armadillos appear to avoid making contact.
