The minimap of Cheep Cheep Falls

Cheep Cheep Falls is the first race course of the Leaf Cup in Mario Kart World, as well as the third checkpoint of the Ice Rally and the fourth of the Moon and Acorn Rallies. The course takes place in a forested autumn area slightly east of the center of the world map, with pagodas that make it reminiscent of feudal Japan. Racers traverse along rivers and the titular waterfalls during parts of the course.[1] It is the first Cheep Cheep course to not be the third course of its respective cup, as well as the first Cheep Cheep course to not be beach themed. It is the second instance of a Mario Kart course named after Cheep Cheeps sharing a name with a Mario Golf course, after Cheep Cheep Lagoon. Kamek will turn racers into either Cheep Cheep or Coin Coffer.

Outside of the Mario Kart Arcade GP series, it is the third course in the Mario Kart series to be heavily influenced by Japanese landscapes and architecture, after Tokyo Blur and Ninja Hideaway, and is the only one to not originate from Mario Kart Tour. Outside of Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, it is the first new course in the series' history to be in the Leaf Cup.

Course layout[edit]

Racers begin the race behind a pagoda, which drive under, make a right turn, and go under a second pagoda. Racers then briefly drive over a portion of the road where a waterfall is rushing through, make another turn, then drive into the flowing river. The center of the river flows downward toward the direction racers are driving, while the sides of the river flow towards the center. There are branches in the river to rail ride on, as well as land near the river, including one large patch of land near where racers get out of the river.

Routes[edit]

The route from Dandelion Depths to Cheep Cheep Falls enters the track uniquely to the other 9 routes; rather than entering from the last turn behind the starting line, instead the racers jump from the large waterfall above the track and drive through the last section of track before starting the final lap, similarly to the route taken in the Moon Rally.

Sky-High Sundae has a route leading to Cheep Cheep Falls, while the reverse is not true; Cheep Cheep Falls does not have a route leading to Sky-High Sundae, a trait shared with Sky-High Sundae’s route to Salty Salty Speedway.
