Mona talking to a Monette

The Monettes are a group of nine blonde cheerleaders led by Mona. Though they all have identical appearances, they are all given names: Cathy, Mitchel, Nancy, Lisa, Marie, Emily, Lucy, Catherine, and Sara. They appear during Mona's stage in WarioWare: Smooth Moves.

The Monettes first appear in the stage's introduction, where they practice a cheerleading routine with Mona in Diamond City. They later cheer for the Diamond City Roughs in their match against Team Dinosaur. During the match, a Roughs player named Boy who is infatuated with Mona uses the encouragement made by the cheerleading team to score a winning touchdown. He later tries to confess his love to Mona, but fails to notice she has run away, and instead startles a nearby Monette.

The Monettes also appear during the stage proper, where they cheer for the player (or become disappointed when the player fails a microgame) and hold up cards that show which form to use for the next microgame.

Nine of the eleven Ski bunnies in Game & Wario share their names with the Monettes.
