"Going on Tour with Nintendo's 2017 Summer of Play Tour" is the twenty-second episode of The Play Nintendo Show on Play Nintendo's YouTube channel. This episode takes place during Nintendo's 2017 Summer of Play Tour at the Irvine Spectrum Center in Irvine, California: the first stop of the tour.
Plot synopsis[edit]
Izzy emerges from his warp pipe and asks Worthington where Andrew Trego and Jenna went, to which Worthington says they went to the mall. With the siblings gone, Izzy assumes that today is his. Meanwhile, Andrew and Jenna introduce themselves and talk about the tour. Andrew can not wait, so the siblings enter the tents and play some games. After a montage, Andrew is seen next to a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe area with seats decorated to have motors on the back. Andrew thinks it is time to get "real competition" here and whistles, causing people to immediately show up. After the gameplay, Andrew says that was fun and embarrassing because he thinks a 3-year-old beat him. After another montage of Jenna playing games, Jenna talks about Miitopia and Hey! Pikmin. Jenna hears Frizzy's laugh and tells everyone Andrew is crazy enough to let Frizzy in here.
Andrew asks Frizzy why he has a mustache, to which Frizzy says it is his disguise. Without it, there would be tens of people mobbing them. Frizzy goes around the event and asks people various questions. When he asks people what their favorite Nintendo characters are, responses include Link, Kid Cobra, Mario, Baby Peach, Inkling Boy, and Toad. Frizzy tells Jenna Andrew is their mother's favorite, to which Jenna tells him that is not a question. Frizzy tells an elderly woman that he has heard about her gaming skills, to which the woman states she won against her granddaughter. Frizzy asks two kids if he can pet the dog one of them is holding, which they accept. Frizzy then asks people to do impressions. Two attempt to do an impression of Yoshi, one does an impression of Frizzy, and another does an impression of Mario. The latter of which is deemed the winner.
Andrew tells Frizzy he needs to get his hands free so he can play ARMS, and Frizzy wants to talk to more people, so Andrew and Frizzy part ways. After a montage of Andrew and Jenna staring at displays (including Jenna playing the Nintendo's 2017 Summer of Play Tour roulette game), the siblings play Splatoon 2. Andrew and Jenna then prepare a "sibling showdown" in ARMS (possibly teasing the next episode). The siblings conclude the episode by telling the viewer to like, subscribe, and click the link in the description to find out more information on the event. Jenna asks Andrew if he thinks Izzy is having fun at the Casa de Nintendo, which Andrew does not worry about. Meanwhile, Izzy is bored with Worthington, who is still vacuuming.
