"The Galaxy Reactor"[1][2] is a musical theme composed by Mahito Yokota for Super Mario Galaxy, where it plays in Bowser's Galaxy Reactor. It is a medley arrangement of "Flying Mario" and "Overture" from the same game.

Super Mario Galaxy[edit]

Super Mario Galaxy marks the first appearance of "The Galaxy Reactor", and it returns in the Nintendo Switch ports, Super Mario 3D All-Stars and Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, for the same purpose. It is also included in the official albums Super Mario Galaxy Original Soundtrack and The 30th Anniversary Super Mario Bros. Music.

Super Mario Galaxy 2[edit]

In Super Mario Galaxy 2, the original version of "The Galaxy Reactor" plays during the sixth and final section of the mission "The Perfect Run" in the Grandmaster Galaxy.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie features three arrangements of "The Galaxy Reactor", all of which were arranged by Brian Tyler, and are also included in the film's official soundtrack.

A brief arrangement of "The Galaxy Reactor" plays when Bowser Jr.'s UFO abducts Peach's Castle. It is titled "A Master Artist at Work".

A brief arrangement of "The Galaxy Reactor" plays when Bowser visits Planet Bowser. It is titled "Your King Has Returned".

An arrangement of "The Galaxy Reactor" plays when Mario and the crew approach Planet Bowser in the Comet Observatory. It is titled "Assault on Planet Bowser".
