"Buoy Base Galaxy"[1][2] is a musical theme composed by Mahito Yokota for Super Mario Galaxy, where it plays in the galaxy of the same name.

Super Mario Galaxy[edit]
A variation of the theme titled "Buoy Base Galaxy - Undersea" plays when Mario is underwater. "Buoy Base Galaxy" appears on the game's soundtrack, while "Buoy Base Galaxy - Undersea" appears on the Platinum Version of the soundtrack. Both versions appear in Super Mario 3D All-Stars, where they can be heard in Super Mario Galaxy as well as in the collection's music player.

Super Mario Galaxy 2[edit]
The theme returns in Super Mario Galaxy 2, where it plays during the "To the Top of Topman's Tower" mission in Space Storm Galaxy. When a blue switch is activated, a distortion effect is added to the music.
